Description |
Two ceramic dishes, a teapot and sugarbowl. Items in this accession include 2010.018.003a-b. 2010.018.003a: Teapot - Shiny, white in colour, with thin curved handle on one end and a long curved spout. The top of the pot tapers in and then flares back out at the very top. One side has a black and grey image of a building and underneath in black text says "Postoffice Rossland B.C." There's a gold line around the base of the spout, and gold filigree above the image on either side. The top of the pot is pink around the rim with two gold borders around the top and bottom of the pink. The lid is the same, pink with gold around the rim, and has a white, small circular handle on the top. The body of the pot has diagonal grooves down it and no design on the other side. 2010.018.003b: Sugar bowl - Shiny, white in colour, with two small rounded grooves on either side. The top of the bowl tapers in and then flares back out at the very top. One side has a black and grey image of a building and underneath in black text says "Postoffice Rossland B.C." There's a gold filigree above the image on either side. The top of the bowl is pink around the rim with two gold borders around the top and bottom of the pink. The lid is the same, pink with gold around the rim, and has a white, small circular handle on the top. The body of the bowl has diagonal grooves down it and no design on the other side. |
