Description |
Firefighting trophy. A large ornate cup with two handles on a two-tiered base. The cup has a lid with a statue of a firefighter holding a hose. This artifact has multiple parts, for specific details of the parts see the parts description below. 1978.963.1a: ornate silver cup on a two-tiered wood base. There are filigree designs throughout the surface of the cup. The front of the cup has an engraved scene of firefighters with a hose reel inside of a frame. The reverse of the cup has the winners engraved (see inscription) inside of an elaborate frame. The cup is attached by a large bolt through the base. 1978.963.1b: circular metal lid with a statue of a firefighter (has flowing cape) holding a hose on top. The statue is on a platform that has a beaded border. |
