Description |
Pair of dark brown men's leather hockey skates with silver blades and leather laces. See below for detailed description. 1955.86.1a: left skate. Dark brown leather boot with round toe on a silver metal blade. The front of the boot has 24 metal eyelets with a cream leather lace threaded through drawing the sides of the skate over the tonge. The balde is attached to the boot by nails through the blade plates (8 toe, 6 heel). "Invictus" is stamped in the sole of the boot between the blade plates. There is a patch of dried residue by the stamp. The heel of the boot has a puncture mark (likely from the other skate during storage). 1955.86.1b: Right skate. There is a small patch of died residue beside the word stamped on the sole of the boot. The left side of the boot has two puncture holes (like from the other skate during storage). |
