Description |
Round blue and gold 1981 Golden City Days button. The base of the button is blue with gold detailing throughout. It features the Golden City Days logo in the centre with "Golden City Days 1981 Rossland, B.C." round the outside. The logo consists of a man with a beard and wearing a plaid shirt, gold pants, and a hat running forward (cloud of dust behind his feet). The man is holding a pickaxe in his proper right hand and a shovel in his proper right. There are mountains behind the name as well as a cactus and rabbit by his feet. The reverse of the pin has a silver pin attached. The manufacturer’s information is in green at the bottom (see inscription). |

Provenance |
Golden City Days began in 1972 as part of Rossland’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The festival continued annually until 2020, when the festivities were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Golden City Days was revived in 2022. Golden City Days coincides with the Rossland Fall Fair and is a city-wide celebration of fall and community. |
