Description |
Red fire alarm pull station. The alarm is made of a red metal plate with a black insert poking from the back of the plate. The front of the plate consists of a small red pull that one pulls down breaking the glass so they could push the back button that triggers the alarm. In raised white letters, the plate reads "PULL/ TO BREAK GLASS/ IN CASE OF FIRE" The piece is missing the glass. |

This artifact was part of the B.C. Firefighter's Museum collection before it was donated to the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre. The B.C. Firefighter's Museum was housed in Rossland's original fire hall that was built in 1901 (First Ave and Queen Street). The Museum opened in 1992. The museum closed after only a few years of operations. |
