Silver metal A.R.P. shield-shaped badge. The badge has an image of a crown and "A.R.P." written across the front. The back of the badge has a straight pin as well as the engraving "13031". |

The Rossland Civilian Protection Committee was formed on July 31, 1941, of which the A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions) was a significant component. The A.R.P. trained and educated Rosslanders what to do in the event of an attack. The group held blackout drills and trained members in first aid and firefighting. The Rossland Court House was chosen to serve as an emergency hospital if needed. |
