Description |
Black and white negative of the mural at the Rossland Museum. The long, rectangular mural depicts Rossland's history through different people and events that were important to the history of the town. Some of the recognizable people in the mural include Olaus Jeldness, Father Pat, Joe Moris, Joe Bourgeois, Ross Thompson, and Billy Esling. Other elements that are depicted in the mural include a volcano, smelter, train, mine site, river, can-can dancer, and a pioneer family. The mural is hanging on brick wall with a wood beam at the top. In front of the mural there are two stanchions, one of which has information. There is a large electric heater, double spotlight, and a large overhead light above the mural. Part of another display is visible on the left side of the image. |
