Description |
Slide of a blurry scene of a RCMP marching band performing on Columbia Avenue during the BC Centennial celebrations in Rossland. The band is arranged in at least seven rows, but because of the perspective of the scene, it is hard to truly tell how many rows there are. The musicians are wearing RCMP dress reds/red serge uniform, complete with a brown Mountie hat. The scene has been captured from the south side of the street, causing the band to be captured in profile. The band has paused on the Washington Street intersection. There are crowds of people on either side of the street watching the band. Buildings on either side of Columbia Avenue are visible. Some of the businesses/buildings of note include the Bank of Montreal, Davies Drugs, Rossland Post Office, Rossland Court House, St. George’s Anglican Church, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church on the left and the Rossland Co-operative Transportation Society garage (large white building) on the right. There are three blue Co-op buses parked on the right side of the street and fluffy white clouds in the bright blue sky complete the scene. Overall, the scene is blurry, but not enough to not be able to tell what is happening. |
