Description |
Glass advertising slide from Henderson's Livery in Rossland. The slide has a thick black border, with a clear, transparent window in the centre where the advertisement is. The left side advertisement has two graphics. The top graphic is a cartoon drawing of a train and automobile crash. The bottom graphic is a photograph of a overturned car with several people standing around it. There is a small border around the each of the graphics. "American Photo-Slide Co LA Cal" in small black lettering under the left corner of the bottom graphic. "Accidents will happen", "if you breaks don't work", "Have us keep your car in order", and "at reasonable rates . . ." are in different fonts to the right of the image. "Henderson's Livery Ford Agency Coal Wood and Ice" is in a variety of fonts across the bottom of the advertisement.The left side of the border has a gold star in a circle with "American Photo-Slide Co" beside it (vertically along the side of the slide). The right side has "Los Angeles San Fernando Building" in gold lettering. |

Henderson's Livery was operated in Rossland by M.A. Henderson during the first half of the 20th century. The business went by different names throughout its history including Henderson's Livery and the Henderson Bros. Recovered from a dumpster by the donor. |
