Scope & Content |
Blueprint plan showing the placement of Columbia & Western Railway and a proposed extension between the Centre Star and Le Roi Mines. The C&W railway line has a branch of track that goes through the Le Roi, Centre Star, Iron Mask, Mugwump, Virginia, Idaho, and Enterprise claims. There is a second set of C&W tracks labelled as the "Center Star Branch" that meets up with the main line on the Idaho claim. The proposed extension is to the Center Star Branch and is shaded in and brings the C&W tracks directly to the Le Roi ore bins as opposed to only partway through the claim. There are 10 mining claims shown on the plan. The mainline of the Red Mountain Railway is also shown. The remaining mining claims shown include: Black Bear, Nick of Time, Pack Train, Nickel Plate, Ore-or-No Go, Iron Horse, City of Spokane, Pilgrim, War Eagle, Poorman, Josie, and Number One. War Eagle is written as "War-Eagle", Centre Star is written as "Center-Star", and Enterprise is written as "Enter-prise". There is a note on the Pack Train claim stating that it was formerly the Legal Tender claim. The plan is labelled as "Div No. 113" on red on the bottom right corner. The plan was created by H.J. Cambie (Vancouver, BC). |
