Admin/Biographical History |
Environment Canada used volunteers across Canada to record daily temperature, precipitation, and cloudiness in their region. They were formally incorporated as a governmental department in 1971, incorporating older ministries such as Meteorological Service of Canada (1871), Water Survey of Canada (1908), and the Canadian Wildfire Service (1947). In Rossland, M. Nicholson was the weather observer from 1946 to 1949, when P. C. Berry took over. He recorded weather information from 1949-1962, when L.W. Keir took over, volunteering until 1989. |
